Polaris has achieved in the
course of years the leadership in the field of gas emission
treatment, containing freon, coming from plants for the destroying
and recycling of domestic and industrial chillers with recovery
of materials.
The treatment for the purification
of the effluent streams coming from such plants is carried
out with the proprietary Polaris techniques of condensation/solidification
of pollutants or, in alternative, of adsorption on activated
carbons regenerated with nitrogen in closed circuit.
The process configuration is
defined in function of the plant size (usually between 200
and 700 m3/h), of the abatement level required by the applicable
norms, of the duration of operations (continuous or discontinuous).
To date, Polaris has realised
several abatement systems with abatement levels up to 5 mg/Nm3
of residual CFC, in order to comply with the more severe norms
and guidelines, internationally applicable.
